The Objective

Foundation for Geophysical Accuracy

This project marked the critical first phase of a geophysical survey, involving a precise stake-out of survey lines to assist CSAMT surveys at the Poboya Site. The accuracy of this stake-out was paramount, as it formed the geometric basis for all subsequent geophysical data collection and directly impacted the quality of the exploration results.

Our Solution

Hybrid Survey Integration

To overcome poor accessibility and signal constraints, TEKNIKA adopted a Hybrid Methodology integrating two technologies:

GNSS RTK with NTRIP: Deployed for control points and open areas to ensure speed and efficiency.
Electronic Total Station (ETS): Used to determine accurate coordinates in regions where GNSS signals were obstructed (constrained zones).

The team, comprising experienced surveyors and local personnel, further optimized the process by analyzing land cover and topography using SRTM data beforehand. This planning allowed for efficient execution despite the challenging terrain.

Key Results

Precision in Extreme Terrain

Despite elevation variations ranging from 300 to 600 meters, the terrestrial survey ensured markers were placed accurately according to the initial design. The team successfully established a daily work target of 2.000 meters of survey lines. These highly accurate coordinates directly supported the client’s resource potential analyses and natural resource management in the region.
