The Objective
Developing Critical Port Infrastructure
TEKNIKA conducted comprehensive Bathymetric and Topographic Surveys to support the construction of a private Jetty for a mining company in Toka-Tindung. The primary goal was to provide a clear overview of the jetty channel and basin development prospects, while identifying any navigational obstacles in the area. The survey scope encompassed approximately ±4 hectares of land area and shallow coastal waters.
Our Solution
Multi-Stage Hydrographic Analysis
The project employed a rigorous multi-stage methodology to ensure data integrity:
Tidal Observation: Conducted to determine critical water level elevations (HHWL & LLWL) and analyze tidal types.
Current Measurement: Carried out for 25 continuous hours to identify current direction and speed during both spring and neap tides.
Sounding: Bathymetric measurements performed using a Single-frequency Echo Sounder integrated with GNSS RTK, utilizing a fixed recording interval of approximately 5 meters.
Sediment Sampling: Used composite methods for suspended sediments and grabber tools for seabed analysis.

The survey provided critical data on the site’s hydrodynamics, topographic conditions, and sediment characteristics. This data now serves as the solid basis for the technical planning of the Jetty construction, enabling precise determination of reference elevations, marine facility design, and the anticipation of future operational obstacles.
